Boy we had a great time out here on the west coast. The Imperial Valley =
ARC set-up portable at Salton City, CA, right on the beach next to the =
Salton Sea, 50 feet below sea level. A beautiful sunny day, temps in =
the 70's, couldn't have asked for better WX! Dennis / WB6CGJ / #7343 =
and Bruce / WB7RHT / # 8618 were the only operators, but had many =
visitors during the contest, although, neither had time to socialize; =
they were working, HI-HI. Started out on 10m which seemed to have a =
pretty good opening for the first 2 hours, then moved to 15m which is =
where they finished up.

All together the Club managed 65 QSO's, 1 Canadian, 1 DX (New Zealand), =
the rest US. We'll see how they score it, but figured about 8,372 =
points.

This was the Club's first Sprint, but it won't be the last. The Club is =
already making plans for the next one!

73 - See ya in the Spring!
