How did everyone do on the Sprint?? Here in Ohio, 10 meters never did open up
very well. I guess with the "downfall" of the cycle, really good openings on
this band are going to be few and farther between. I worked 40 and 15, and
Dave, WT8R worked 20 and 10. The sigs on 40 and 15 were usually very
strong, but after a while, it seemed I was hearing the same FISTS over and
over. The West coast was particularly loud on 15. I guess this is from the
bands not moving much, and the short time span of the Sprint. Dave had
trouble with his keyer and had a visitor, which cut down on his time at the
key. Other than the bands not being as cooperative as they could have been,
we at K8FST had a good time a usual. I sure would like to see more
participation from club members. It's a good time to meet a lot of other
FISTS and say howdy to old friends. It's also a great way for number
collectors to do their thing and work towards whatever award is next on their
list. 73 all and hope to catch you on the air. K8FST is on going with the
patch offer, but time is running out. Well, think spring. It's almost
time to start thinking about Hamvention again................................
