I asked F5SGI, Jean-Marc if the "new" morse letter DI-DAH-DAH-DI-DAH
(Barred WA) - or as they say in French: "TI TAH TAH TI TAH", was another
letter, as I thought it might have been a French letter.

It turns out it is - and it is the one that the French use for @ - so ARRL
was only tooting it's own horn - because they accomplished NOTHING new.

Here is Jean-Marc's reply.

<snip>
> In general, French- and many Spanish-speaking ham operators use .--.- for
@.

And from a second message:
<snip>
> It also means "", equivalent to @.
