[Fists] Coast to Coast event

To all Fists clubs and club members,

I think it's time for an update on the list of participants so far. First,
I'd like to thank all of those who have taken the time to respond to my
gentle reminder last month and let me know whose on board. Although I
haven't responded to each of you individually, please know that the e-mails
have been received and the list updated at the web site. See

That's a total of 25 clubs so far. Last year we had 31 clubs in the mix. The
more clubs that participate, the more interest we'll have in the general ham
population. BTW, we are listed this year in a number of contesting venues
including the Contesting Corral in the Sept issue of QST. If non Fists see a
lot of activity and take part, chances are FISTS will have a good shot at
increasing membership and spreading the good word about CW fun.
I promise no more reminders until a week out from the contest. Until then,
for those clubs not yet committed to participating, please consider it. You
don't need to be on the whole time and even a few hours will help out.
