[Fists] The Fuse Problem

Hi Gang:

Thought I'd tell you folks the present status of my Fuse Problem.

When I power the Scout from the "power outlet" in the rear of the Van the 
20 Amp fuse has not blown.  And, yes, that fuse furnishes both the power 
outlets.

But, since I had planned to run mobile in the PA QSO Party the first 
weekend of October, I elected to
by-pass the problem by doing the "right" thing.  I ran a separate circuit 
directly from the battery to the Scout.  And, yes, I fused both the 
positive and negative leads at the battery, just like all the books about 
mobile operation tell you to do. - Hi!

Suffice it to say, I did not blow either of these 20 Amp fuses during the 
QSO Party, nor have I since.
And, we gave the installation a real operational test in the QSO 
Party.  Made 701 QSO's from 27 different counties in PA - all CW by the way.

So the mystery still exists, but I plan to just ignore it and continue 
using my "proper" power installation.
