What's wrong with making suggestions? Not everyone is gg to agree, but
discouraging input is where real harm will occur. If someone has a
suggestion and it is summarily dismissed you are gg to lose good people.
Asking members to accept the status quo and to stop making suggestions is a
sure recipe for a not so great club.

The membership asked for more Sprints because they enjoy them and now we
have four. The membership asked to be able to e-mail logs and now we can.
This seems like progress to me. Making the Sprint fit into "normal" contest
guidelines will likely result in more people participating in all FISTS
activities. Why is there so little participation in the Sprints compared to
other contests? Perhaps if the Sprints were "improved" there would be more
participation, which result in more FISTS members.

Most contests have a QRP, Low and High power category. This seems like a
reasonable way to improve the Sprint and keep it competitive. Perhaps with
the current low level of participation, rather than adding a category,
limiting QRO to 150-watts would make more sense. It requires no extra work
by the "oversee-er" and helps level the playing field.

To my knowledge there is only one contest logging application that supports
FISTS Sprints -- TR. Unfortunately because the Sprints handle foreign and
domestic multipliers differently, it can't FULLY support it. I think the
Sprints would have more participants if the rules were consistent with most
other tests. More participants and more FISTS members -- not a bad thing.
