I retain my membership in the ARRL for only one reason.....
so I can have a say to my Division Director regarding any Board 
decisions that could cause further dis-mantlement of Amateur Radio.
They may well not represent me....but they always get a full dose 
of my views and I can feel good for at least trying to delay
another step in the planned transformation from Amateur to CB.

My view is that the phone ops need to move to newer technologies 
that better utilize their existing "lion's share" of our HF spectrum
rather than move SSB into the cw/digital neighborhood. 

I hope all FISTS members will take time to make their views heard
this time. I dont think we did too well last time and the result was
a devastating dumbdown of the Amateur license requirements.
Come on guys/gals, take 10 minutes to make your views heard !
