The grocer kept his promise and today, the non-skid shelf liners appeared in
the paper products aisle.
After considerable comparing of brands, I decided the one with the best grip
and the least ornate "pattern" (not the color - the design of the holes in
the rubber) was made by Con-Tact. There is also Ultra Liner .. twice as
thick as the Grip Liner which I purchased. You may prefer that. It is a
little too soft, IMO, but it won't wrinkle, if that "bugs" you :-).
I just cut a piece of it to keep the laptop from sliding off the pull-out
desk tray. That laptop is going NOWHERE.
>From that cut, the small leftover piece was perfect for two or three code
keys. I plopped it on the slippery plexiglass desktop, lifted a paddle onto
it, and it was there to stay - until I moved it.
Five keys have been hooked up and sitting on a strip (different brand) under
my shack equipment shelf for almost 20 years. I've no financial interest of
any kind in the company.. here's the URL.. keep clicking for close-ups of
the materials:

I have enough in the one $4 roll to line every shelf on the shack desk with
some left over. One roll, 5 ft x 20 inches.. and I could have bought less,
or different combos of widths and lengths.
