Greetings European FISTS members!

I represent a small group of amateurs in the State of Delaware, USA
who form the Dover Amateur Radio Club, W3DOV. Two of us are also
FISTS members -- myself and Mark Holloway, KE3UY. We, in association
with Sonny (Zed) Postles, N3FZP, wish to attempt a trans-Atlantic QSO
on the 2-metre band, with the goal of possibly winning the Brendan Trophy.
This attempt would be made in the early Summer of 2003. What we would
require is another individual or group on the European end of the path to
make this attempt with us. Since the mode to be used will be CW, it
seemed to me like a perfect opportunity for FISTS members to demonstrate
the benefits and advantages of our favourite mode of communication.

Any interested parties please respond to my E-mail address at your
earliest convenience. Of course, we have a great number of details
to be sorted out, and the sooner we begin, the better! If anyone has
any ideas how to reach someone in the Western Coastal regions of
Europe who may be interested in this attempt, please reply to my
E-mail address as well. Also please CC: all E-mail correspondence to
[email protected].
