With the XYL and kids out shopping until late last night, I had a chance to
toss a little RF into the "under used" Novice bands. When I set down I
thought I would try to make three or four contacts and call it a night.
Well, conditions were good and the coffee kept pouring and before I knew it
I had 10 QSOs on 40 meters with ops in 10 different states. Each were
enjoyable conversations about the snow (we got our first snow of the year
yesterday) and Christmas. When I woke up this morning, I had four emails
from those contacted last night. It's nice to be able to follow up like
that. One even included nice pictures of his shack.

Doing a little checking, it turns out six of them were FISTS (all new
numbers for me).

Apparently, just like VISA, FISTS are everywhere you want them to be! :-)
