We have used TRLog for the last several years. Network is dead simple, a peer-to-peer daisy chain and works well even with lots of RF around.

Operators find it easy to use but will require training, like any other logging program. TRLog has the advantage over many others in that you don't have to hit a bunch of different keys as the QSO progresses, just hit Enter each time you need to send something. It will know what to send.

Our 2A + GOTA and VHF operation last year did about 1700 Qs with ops who are mostly shack on the belt folks.

If you have a sound card in the computer you can record CQ and exchange sequences which will play at the appropriate times.

There is a free version which works well for FD.

BUT, if you're going to do this you had better get started right away and give the job of sorting all this out to somebody who can put a bunch of time into it, regardless of which logging program you use. You will also want to do some op training well before the day.

TRLog has an active reflector with lots of folks who will lend a hand.

Good luck on FD and look for VE7VCT
