Have used the N3FJP applications also, stand alone and (limited) network. 
Both applications are excellent. Just be careful when restarting them to use 
an existing database. It's not difficult, just advise anyone that would need 
to restart the program to carefully read the prompts.

Have you thought about using WiFi as your network, just for that final "RF" 
touch to the setup?
