There are novice bands that I have heard relatively slow CW on during FD.
Still...its too fast for me to copy since Ive never really completed a QSO
on CW...  ;-)

So what's your point Greg? I've never been fortunate enough to find a novice
that knew cw and would operate Field Day. I always get them to run the 10
meter station.
Another aspect of FD I don't fool with is passing traffic. I think it should
be mandatory and hope it shows up in the ARRL changes. You spend too much
time passing traffic. Not enough bang for the buck. I felt I could garner
more points doing other things, although traffic handling falls smack dab in
the lap of emergency preparedness.......Tom N4RS
