5/19/25: The meeting was called to order at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567 at 7:00 pm by VP Dene Helwig N5XDM then President Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG). 19 members were in attendance in-person and virtually via livestream and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

VP N5XDM presentation: positive regards to AA8YY re: AR Newsline. From QST: American Radio Emergency Prep Act regarding HOA. Advantages of ham radio insurance via ARRL. FCC Rules Part 97– latest version. Repeater Codes discussed. If any member would like codes to K8BXQ repeater, please contact N5XDM.

FCARC Field Deployment Practice was held Saturday 5/10/25 at Ruihley Park in Archbold, OH. Excellent park for set-up, poor band conditions that day. Next FDP will be 6/10/25 again at Ruihley Park in Archbold, 8:30-11:30am.

Jan Tropf requested help with events in Wauseon May through September. 

  • Wauseon Firecracker 5K 5/15/25: 8 FCARC members attended helping direct traffic and maintain safety of runners. KE8BHW reports police were grateful for our reports along the route.

  • Wauseon Super Cruise 5/20/25. Help from FCARC requested to park cars and ensure safety. Please meet at Wauseon Fire Station at 4:30-4:45 pm and bring HT, high vis apparel. Frequency 146.46.

  • Memorial Day Parade 5/26/25. Please meet at Wauseon Fire Station ~8:30 am, but breakfast at the Masonic Lodge is prior, ~8:00am. Please bring HT, high vis apparel. 

Summer Hamfest 6/7/25 9:00am-1:00pm. The Delta American Legion Post No. 373. Various discussion ensued including delegation of jobs, prizes, food, swag, arrival times 6/6/25 and 6/7/25, sign placement including details of route detours.
