I will be running on six mostly, however I will have a HF vertical setup if you need me to fill in on another band if you need.

Just a thought, if anyone is planning to bring a golf cart, be aware the gas carts are terrible electrical noise generators. No fun on HF with one of those puttering about. The electric carts do not seem to generate the same level of noise.

From last night's meeting.  All stations will need a 2m radio up and running on 146.460 simplex.

Subject: [FCARC] AB8RC plan

Good morning.

Sorry this has taken so long.

As of right now, here is my field day plan.

I will have my small cargo trailer to set up.  My Uncle, Jack Roe, KE4DRB, will be coming for the event.

We plan to run two HF stations out of the trailer.  We will have an end-fed wire as one antenna.  Haven’t fully decided on the other, but it will most likely be a dipole.  We do not have specific bands selected.  We should be able to go 10-40, maybe even 80.  Over the years, my best luck has been 20 and 40.

All our stuff will probably be on phone.  I don’t have my digital setup available.

We will need both 110 volt generator power for the radios, and 110 volt “Hotel” power for the refrigerator, lights, etc.
I have a couple of 100-foot heavy-duty extension cords.

Thanks.

David AB8RC
