8/18/25: The meeting was called to order at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567 at 7:01 pm by President Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG). 22 members and guests were in attendance in-person and virtually via livestream and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

Members in Distress: KB8TYN: sister with ovarian cancer. ***ADDENDUM: Benefit for Cindy's sister Patti will be held Saturday October 25 at Fulton County Sportsmen's Club. ***Jan’s significant other– health decline.

Treasurer's Report: reported by KB8ELG via report submitted by Jan Tropf in her absence.  Motion to approve finance report by KC8HDG and KC8PCU:  Approved.

Wauseon Super Cruise Tuesday 8/19/25. Please arrive ~4:30PM. Park cars from 5:00-7:00PM 

FCARC OSPOTA will be held Saturday 9/6/25 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Harrison Lake State Park. We will contest in all three shelter houses to avoid harmonics of frequency and allow space for antennas. Catered chicken will be provided; please bring a dish to pass and your beverage of choice.

Monthly FDP will not be held in September per OSPOTA

Winter Hamfest 12/6/25 9:00am-1:00pm. The Delta American Legion Post No. 373. FCARC Event Swag budget discussed– ~$250. Motion to approve: KB8VTN and AA8YY. Approved

KE8BHW suggested a Budget Team: KE8ITJ, Jan, N5XDM, KE8BHW to get together in the next few months. 

Work on the Repeater Shack 11/1/25 after breakfast

FCARC Christmas Party: 12/27/25 6:00PM at Rotary Park Wauseon. Catered with commercial clean up. Perfect Pair Catering attended the meeting, food choices within our budget presented including kids’ buffet. They request a head count seven days prior or at our November meeting. Santa Claus? 50/50 raffle? Games? 

Donated 20m Mobile Repeater. Yaesu vertex. Have different PL tone

WB8ZOI discussed the broken bracket on the repeater antenna. Cost prohibitive to fix. Discussion about repairing when other tower maintenance is due. 

N5XDM presented VP report. 147.375 ARES Traffic Net. Opportunity to pass traffic. W8MAL is the instructor. Simplex: also practice on 440? Propagation testing 146.46

VE Testing: The club gives testing at 10:00 am the last Saturday of each month at the Wauseon Administration Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. Contact John Myers KD8ZKE if interested. His contact information can be found on the k8bxq.org website under the VE Testing section.

Saturday morning breakfast at the Delta 109 at 9:00 AM, in downtown Delta, OH.

The next regular club meeting will be 9/15/25 7:00PM at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. 

A motion to adjourn was made by KC8HDG and seconded by KE8VFR and all were in favor.  KB8ELG closed the meeting at 8:15pm
