7/21/25: The meeting was called to order at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567 at 7:01 pm by President Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG). 15+ members and guests were in attendance in-person and virtually via livestream and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

Corrections to Minutes from Previous Meeting: none

Treasurer's Report: reported by Jan Tropf. Balance and deposits reported. Motion to approve finance report:  Approved. 

Jan Tropf requested and expressed gratitude for help with events in Wauseon May through September.

Homecoming Parade 7/26/25. Please arrive at Biddle Park ~1000. Parade begins at 1100. 

   -    
Wauseon Super Cruise Tuesday 8/19/25. Please arrive ~4:30PM. Park cars from 5:00-7:00PM 


ARRL Field Day 6/28/25 at York Park, County Road 10 and E. Good attendance and results. 

Delta Chicken Festival Parade: 7/12/25 1000. Gratitude for help from Delta Police Department. 

Next Field Deployment Practice (FDP) August 9, 2025 at Harrison Lake State Park. This will be in preparation for OSPOTA 9/6/25. $40 to reserve the North Shelter House. Motion per KE8ITJ and N5XDM. Approved. 

Winter Hamfest 12/6/25 9:00am-1:00pm. The Delta American Legion Post No. 373. Payment submitted to American Legion by KB8ELG. Brainstorming: Welcome Pack for new members including membership card? Shirts: order online via 3Cord/ KE8ITJ bulk purchase t-shirts to sell? Swag table? Collapsable backdrop sign including QR codes? Lectures (FT4/FT8, digital modes, ARES, OSPOTA, Preparedness, Echolink?). Soldering station/ hands on activities for kids? 

FCARC Christmas Party: 12/27/25 6:00PM at Rotary Park Wauseon. Catered with commercial clean up. Jan discussed with Perfect Pair Catering who can adjust the food choices to our budget. KE8ITJ suggested $25 per person budget. Jan discussed reserving a gentleman to be Santa Claus. 50/50 raffle? Games? 

N5XDM presented VP report. End of Summer picnic?– OSPOTA. Discussed FCC Happenings from QST 7/2025: Expansion of Technician privileges, Delete amplifier drive limitations, Protection of privacy.

VE Testing: The club gives testing at 10:00 am the last Saturday of each month at the Wauseon Administration Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. Contact John Myers KD8ZKE if interested. His contact information can be found on the k8bxq.org website under the VE Testing section.


Saturday morning breakfast at the Delta 109 at 9:00 AM, in downtown Delta, OH.


The next regular club meeting will be 8/18/25 7:00PM at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. 

A motion to adjourn was made by KC8HDG and seconded by KE8VFR and all were in favor.  KB8ELG closed the meeting at 8:12pm
