11/18/24: The meeting was called to order at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567 at 7:01 pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG). 20 members and guests were in attendance, introductions were made and the Pledge of Allegiance was given by all.

Members in Distress: W8TUX continued treatment. KE8BHW recovering from open heart surgery, in attendance tonight.

Corrections to Minutes from Previous Meeting: none

FCARC member introductions per new people attending the meeting.

Treasurer's Report: reported by KE8ITJ. Balance and deposits reported. Motion to approve: KE8VFR/KG4NXM. Approved

Annual club dues for 2025 will be $20 per member. 

Nominations for 2025 FCARC Officers:
   
   -    
President: KB8ELG. Nominated and uncontested. The Secretary cast one unanimous ballot for the unopposed presidential candidate. 

   -    
Vice President: KE8BHW is stepping down. N5XDM nominated. The Secretary cast one unanimous ballot for the unopposed vice-presidential candidate. 

   -    
Secretary: KE8OKA nominated and uncontested. The Secretary cast one unanimous ballot for the unopposed secretary candidate. 

   -    
Treasurer: KE8ITJ is stepping down. Jan Tropf nominated. The Secretary cast one unanimous ballot for the unopposed treasurer candidate. 


 Trustees: KC8PCU, KE8BHW, KE8VFR. Will assist during public events, financial audit, etc. 

Duplexers: installed by KB8ELG, KC8HDG, KE8OKA. Noted big improvement. Has doubled the signal range. Old duplexers ~40 years old. Sell at the hamfest? A bracket is cracked. KA8VBR offered to connect with a tower climber.

Wauseon Christmas Parade will occur Saturday November 23 at 7:00PM. Help is requested, minimum of 6 people, maximum of 11 people. Please meet at the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce at 6:00 PM. Float: KE8ITJ Jeep. HT for walkers along the street. KE8BHW, KE8QFJ, KE8WRF, KC8PCU, N8WOM, KD8ZKE, KE8REG, KC8ZOB, KE8OKA. Please wear yellow vests, bring a flashlight. 

FCARC 2024 Winter Hamfest will take place Saturday December 7 at Ruihley Park Pavilion.  FCARC members arrive 6:00 am-7:00am to set up. Vendors arrive at 8:00 am. General admission at 9:00 am. Food truck: Eicher’s Subs. 




2024 Christmas Party will be held at Wauseon Rotary Club, 600 Wood Street, Wauseon OH on Saturday December 28 at 6:00PM. Potluck with other catered dishes. Please connect with KE8OKA with what you would like to bring. Family welcome. 

BINGO event? Steady income stream. Could be held at the VFW. Will continue to discuss. 

50/50 drawing every meeting to benefit FCARC. KE8OKA tonight’s winner.

VE Testing: The club gives testing at 10:00 am the last Saturday of each month at the Wauseon Administration Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. Contact Sandra Schwind KE8UTX if interested. Her email address can be found on the k8bxq.org website under the VE Testing section.


Saturday morning breakfast at the Delta 109 at 9:00 AM, in downtown Delta, OH.


The next regular club meeting will be 1/20/25 7:00PM at the Wauseon Municipal Building Firemen's Training Room, 230 Clinton Street, Wauseon, OH 43567. In lieu of the Christmas party, there will not be a regular meeting in December. (The officers will meet 12/15/24 at 1245).

A motion to adjourn was made by N5XDM and seconded by KE8VFR all were in favor.  KB8ELG closed the meeting at 8:31pm
