Bob KD8IMF and a few of us were talking this afternoon, and the subject
of HF receiver specifications was brought up - there's a page online
that states it shows Amateur HF radio receiver test data from their lab,
here -

http://www.sherweng.com/table.html

with a bunch of columns of numbers, with somewhat obtuse header listings
as to what it represents.  This page lists the best receiver specs from
the top down (I was unimpressed that my Yaesu FT-2000, a radio that is
touted to have a "great receiver" is listed wayyyy down the page...)  I
found a quick page that seems to at least give some definition to a few
of the headers, so that maybe you can better judge why "this" radio
listed higher than "that" radio, which is here -

https://www.hamradioworkbench.com/podcast/understanding-hf-receiver-specifications

Scroll down from the top of this page, past the other links and such,
until you see the bullet marks, starting at "Sensitivity" - here are a
few of the most prominent specs for receiver performance and a somewhat
decent description as to what it is trying to portray.

The first page does show other radios than just HF rigs, boat-anchors
included, so it might be fun just to look down through the list to see
if you recognize anything.

My Icom IC-706MKIIG scored in at #78, whereas my Yaesu FT-2000
high-dollar high-tech big rig listed at #135 - I'm pouting . . .

Anyway, check it out if you care to, it's always good to learn something
new if you can.
