The officers of the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club would like to take an opportunity, as we approach the holiday season, to refresh our membership on agreed upon and accepted conduct and social discourse that occurs at club associated events as well as on club provided assets like the K8BXQ repeater. This includes stated meetings, Saturday breakfast, and organized events like Field Day and Hamfests. The preamble to our Club Constitution and By-Laws states it best:

We the undersigned, wishing to secure for ourselves the pleasures and benefits of the association of persons commonly interested in Amateur Radio, do hereby constitute ourselves the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club and do enact this constitution as our governing law. It shall be our purpose to facilitate the exchange of information and general cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism, and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities to advance the general interest and welfare of amateur radio in the community.

It is not the intention of the Club to censor topics of discussion, but we ask the club members to refrain from divisive topics which go against the nature of fraternalism and general cooperation between our members. While it may be suitable in our own social circles to discuss politics, current world affairs surrounding the pandemic and opinions on remediation efforts, club activities are not a forum for this type of discussion.

We want to make the club events and channels of communication a welcoming place for the good of amateur radio and hope that all club members attending these events and using these resources can agree.
