   My friend and ex-coworker Mike Gasser KA8WPC passed away Thursday
morning at UTHC (MCO) Hospital, after having an assumed stroke while
he was in for other issues that were being investigated.  You may know
him from the FRAT club and repeater system that was in Toledo.  He did
frequent many of the hamfests in the local area, until his health issues
kept him from being as mobile as he was in his younger years.

   Glen and Amy have been keeping me informed, so thanks for that - 
sounds like he will be at the Newcomer Funeral Home on Heatherdowns Road,

   I knew Mike for over 30 years, as a radio buddy and hamfest friend,
then as a coworker for the past 20-some years.  I have plenty of stories
that involved some sort of humor while we were doing stuff together, one
of the better ones that can be told here is how the FRAT group used to
gather at a hamfest and pick a fequency, and then everyone would use
WD8PIC as their callsign - always fun when 20-plus people are using the
same call...

   I'mma sad puppy this weekend.
