[FCARC] Skywarn Recognition Day: 24 Hours Beginning Friday Evening

The 20th Edition of Skywarn Recognition Day is scheduled to start at 00 UTC
on December 7th.

Skywarn Recognition Day (SRD) is a way to engage, encourage and recognize
ALL Skywarn Spotters
across the NWS.

*The Amateur Radio site (WX9IWX) *will be active for 24 hours beginning at
7 PM EST Friday evening.
The Hoosier Lakes Radio Club (Warsaw) is the host for this year's event.

   - *Bands*: 80 meters, 40 meters, 20 meters, 2 meters, 70 centimeters
   - *Modes*: SSB, CW, PSK, FM, IRLP (node: 4098)

In addition to having the amateur radio set up at the NWS office, the
Northern Indiana Office will be
trying something new.

We will be using *Social Media* (Twitter and Faceobook) to solicit feedback
from our followers.

We will also operate on the *Zello channel*
<https://zello.com/IWXSKYWARN> (IWXSKYWARN)
for a brief period of time on Saturday
afternoon (from Noon to 3 PM.)
