Edgar H. Zysset, age 89, of Perrysburg, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, Ohio,
passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2017 at Waterford Assisted Living
at Levis in Perrysburg.  He was born October 28, 1927 in Biel, Switzerland
to the late Charles and Martha (Niederer) Zysset, and he served in the
Swiss Army.

Mr. Zysset came to the United States in 1957 as a mechanical engineer,
working the majority of his years at Crown Cork & Seal Company, Inc.  His
success as a mechanical engineer led to him having multiple patents to his
name, including the soda can pop tab (US 5232114 A).

While living in St. Cloud, Florida, Mr. Zysset was a member of the Society
of Plastic Engineers and American Radio Relay League.  He moved to the
Toledo, Ohio area in 1981, most recently residing in Swanton, where he was
a member of the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club and Delta United Methodist
Church.

Mr. Zysset is survived by his son, Charles (Sigrid) Zysset; daughters,
Aimee Matheny and Marianne (John) Cante; as well as 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton are pending at this
time.  Interment will take place at the Swanton Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Delta United Methodist Church or the
Fulton County Amateur Radio Club.
