[FCARC] March Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) with
12 Attendance.
The Finance Report was read with motion to approve by Cass Teles (KD8MNG)
seconded by Dave Claar (W8TUX).
Minutes from previous meeting were distributed in advance vie email with no
corrections.
The Membership report stands at 48 total paid and lifetime members.
Members in Distress:
KC8PCU is out of the hospital and continues to recover nicely.
Upcoming Events:
June 3 is the FCARC Summer Hamfest. Flyers are available for printing on
the club website at http://k8bxq.org/hamfest. Club members are encouraged
to spread the word about this event.
June 24 and 25 is the ARRL Field Day. More information can be found at
http://www.arrl.org/field-day and memebrs are encouraged to download the
rules packet. We are looking for volunteers to help with some of the bonus
points like an Education program and club information table.
July 9 is the Delta Chicken Festival Parade. We have helped with this in
the past and will continue to assist the Delta Police Department this year.
Old Business:
Storm Spotter Training was well received. The presentations continue to
improve year over year. It was mentioned that the Bryan repeater (146.820)
is monitored by the Indiana Weather Service. Amateur Radio operators in
the Storm Spotter program are encourage to remember this frequency for
reporting.
Communications:
DX Engineering wants to get more involved with club presentations utilizing
Skype conferencing. If clubs are interested, DX Engineering asks that they
contact them to setup the date and time and topic of discussion. We have
the benefit of having internet access at the County Admin Building and may
take advantage of this.

2017 at the County Administration Building (same as the Drivers License
Bureau), 152 S. Fulton St, Wauseon.
