[FCARC] June Meeting Notes

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm with 22 Club members in attendance.  
Minutes and Treasurer reports were read and accepted. Committee reports follow:

Membership: We have 53 Paid and Lifetime Members, thanks for your continued support.

Education:  No Report

Hamfest: The summer Hamfest was held earlier this month with very good reports 
on vendor and attendee satisfaction.  After expenses the club cleared about $250 
in profit from the event.  KB8ELG also reports that the contracts are signed for 
the Winter fest, and we are making changes with the venue to make more breakfast 
foods available earlier in the day.

Repeater: The duplexers have been serviced by K8LI and we have received many 
reports on improved clarity and coverage.  The PA deck still needs to be 
integrated, which will happen sometime after Field Day.  The Fusion repeater is 
currently online in UHF mode and we are investigating the possibility of a real 
controller to add many of the convenience features we have on the primary and 
secondary VHF systems.

EC: K8JPD and KB8ELG reported that the Wednesday night Emergency Services nets 
have been going very well, and the goal of training new net controllers has 
yielded at least six members capable of running that net.  They also report that 
we will have much tighter integration with the National Weather Service out of 
Northern Indiana and would be considered primary contacts for the county.

Field Day: Most of the Field Day talking points where rehashing the emails from 
the past couple of weeks.  Plan on setting up Antennas on Friday evening (you 
can certainly start sooner), be sure to consider a charitable donation to the 
Roth family if you plan on bringing in a camper, and be considerate of antenna 
setup, keeping dipole/wires to the perimeter of the woodlot.  Last, dinner will 
begin at 5:00pm, bring your favorite side dish to share.  KB8ELG will be 
bringing a ham to server, I will be bringing a half-sheet cake for the event.

the County Administration Building (same as the Drivers License Bureau), 152 S. 
Fulton St, Wauseon.
