[FCARC] April 20 Meeting Notes

Hello everyone, here are notes from the Monday night Club meeting:

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm with 20 members and guests in 
attendance. The Finance Report was read and accepted, and the annual PO Box bill 
was voted to be paid.

Membership: The club currently has 48 members

Committee reports follow:

Education: KE8RU reported that the technician class did not go off as expected 
with only one individual showing up for the class.  The attendee was supplied a 
copy of the study guide since he would not be able to attend the next two class 
installments.  He hopes to make the testing session at the end of the month. 
Going forward, it was suggested that individuals registering for the class 
pre-purchase the course materials to give the class some value.

Hamfest:  The Summer Hamfest is coming up June 6.  More time will be spent at 
the May meeting for planning what type of assistance we will need from club 
members to make this another success.

Field Day: Field Day is also rapidly approaching June 27-28.  It's not too early 
to plan what bands you might want to consider working, and partnering up with 
other club members who might want to work the same band and modes.  This would 
allow us to get far better utilization on those bands and modes then we have 
seen in the past.

Repeater Committee: Paperwork has been filed for the Yaesu DR-1X club promotion, 
but we have nothing to report other then we have confirmation that the forms 
have been received.  The repeater committee will also be planning spring 
cleaning and maintenance for the repeaters within the next month.

EC Report: Jim McBride announced we will be starting emergency practice nets on 
Sunday evenings at 7:00pm local time, on the 147.195+ repeater.  All club 
members interested in emergency traffic nets should consider checking in to 
learn proper protocol.  The net should wrap up pretty quickly.

Old Business:

Minutes from the previous meeting were read and accepted.

Next Meeting:  The next regular club meeting will be May 18 at the County 
Administration Building (same as the Drivers License Bureau), 152 S. Fulton St, 
Wauseon.  The club meeting will be at 7:30pm.

Wed at 9pm 6M Net -- 50.400 AM on the first Wednesday of the month
