[FCARC] OSPOTA - a quick review

The club participated in the Ohio State Parks on The Air event for a third year 
in a row at Harrison Lake State Park.   We combined the contest with an end of 
summer cookout, which had a great turnout from the club.  Some thanks are in 
order: K8LI for the use of his generator, KB8GOM and KC8UQU for manning the 
grill, and everyone who brought sides and snacks to share, we certainly were not 
shy on food.  We ran three rigs, covering 80, 40 and 20 meters, and managed 104 
QSOs with 48 state parks and various DX entities.   Our claimed score will be 
4,992, which is up slightly from last year.  Most of our contacts were on 40m, 
as 80 was not in great condition for NVIS contacts into Ohio.  We hope everyone 
had a great time, and please forward any pictures you might have of the event to 
me (I'm looking at you WD8KRS and KD8MNG), I'll get a photo gallery posted up 
shortly.
