Hello everyone, here are some notes from the Monday night Club meeting:

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm with 17 members and guests in
attendance. Minutes from the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were
read and accepted.

Committee reports follow:

Education: The VE Team reports the following testing sessions: January, served 4
candidates and issued 1 new tech, 1 upgrade to general, and 1 upgrade to extra.
February, served two candidates and issued 1 upgrade to extra, and 1 new
amateur earning general class. We are still considering a technician class, but
no firm date has been set. KB8ELG wants to work with KE8RU in transitioning
some of the teaching responsibilities and curriculum retooling. On the same
note, Defiance Amateur Radio Club will be holding a tech class in Mid April:

Who: Defiance County ARC
Where: Defiance Co EMA (22491 Mill St., Defiance, OH 43512)
When: April 19, 26, and May 3. 7pm-9pm
Contact: Terry Habegger w8uy at arrl.net

Repeater Committee: We held a lengthy discussion on the best way to address the
primary repeater. We know it is having sensitivity issues and are trying to
determine the best way to approach the problem. As of now, the spring goals
(starting in April) are:

1. Get the backup repeater on-line with the repaired GE radios and repaired
backup controller (all successfully fixed after the lightning strike)
2. Tear down and clean up of all connections at the main repeater, replace patch
cables to duplexers, check loss through system.

Ultimately, we are trying to determine if we need to send the duplexer pack in
for a rebuild, or if we just have an alignment issue.

Memorial Committee: Nothing to report.

Members in Distress: It was reported that KC2RCU has successfully undergone a n
organ transplant and should be returning home around Easter.

EC Report: Jim McBride has offered to be the club EC liaison for Fulton County
and will hopefully be working with Terry Habegger soon to establish a
relationship with the county EC. Jim has stated that he wants to start putting
together a list of club members that have emergency power capabilities in the
event of an emergency. More to come on this topic.

Membership: We have 41 members up to date on dues so far. Thank you for your
continued support.

T-Shirt Committee: Nothing to report.

Hamfest Committee: We are starting to promote the December Hamfest, and have
received a lot of interest from vendors. In April we will plan on figuring out
table layout at Memorial Hall, and also whether or not we want to setup food
vending during the event (which has a series of costs associated with it, as
well as licensing).

Good of Amateur Radio:

1. KB8GOM offered to coordinate a Fox Hunt on one of the Saturdays in May. Look
for more info on this soon.

2. There will be Storm Spotter training on March 27th, from 6:30p-8:30p at the
Fulton County Health Center. Contact Heather Kost: ema at fultoncountyoh.com (419)
337-9207 to reserve a spot (make sure you tell her you are with the Fulton
County ARC).

Upcoming Hamfests:

04/12/2014 Highland, MI (Milford)
05/16/2014 Dayton, OH (5/16 to 5/18)
06/07/2014 Tedrow, OH (FCARC)

Next Meeting: The next regular club meeting will be April 21 at the County
Administration Building second floor (same as the Drivers License Bureau), 152
S. Fulton St, Wauseon. The club meeting will be at 7:30pm.
