Hi folks,

We organized a repeater work day earlier this week, and accomplished two goals
we set for ourselves:

1. The backup Kenwood/CAT repeater system is now in place and on-line at the Co
Rd M & 16 repeater site, northwest of Wauseon. This is the Kenwood Radio that
K8LI was able to purchase and program for the club, and the previous CAT 300DX
controller from the main repeater, which was previously replaced with a CAT
300DXL. We are leaving the backup repeater up for the duration of the weekend to
stretch it's legs and get some idea of coverage. Please do try to get into the
repeater at some point this weekend and let us know how it sounds to your
location. Keep in mind it is northwest of Wauseon, and at a slightly different
elevation, and will have different lobes then the main system. We are currently
intending to flip the system back to the primary site sometime Sunday evening.

2. KB8GOM's 440 repeater is now back on-line. The frequency is 442.075+ with a
103.5 PL. The antenna is about 200ft, so it should have good coverage, and
with 100 watts out, it should be pretty pronounced. If you have 440 capability,
please do give it a try.

Thanks to K8LI, KB8ELG, N8MM, KB8MDF, KB8GOM, KD8OEY, N8EUY and KD8KBU for
taking time from their weekend to get these tasks complete!
