Hello everyone, thanks for the patience of all who attended. We had our first
open-air/parking lot meeting this year due to communication issues on our part.
Here are some notes from the Monday night Club meeting (somewhat abridged):

The meeting was called to order at 7:40pm with 19 members in attendance. Minutes
from the previous meeting were skipped, but the treasurer's report was read and
accepted.

Members in Distress: It was reported the Jim Beck (KC8DPM) is recovering after
cardiac surgery, and Reggie Reimund (KG4NXM) is home from the hospital and
continues to recover from his accident. Cards were passed around and signed for
each.

T-Shirt Committee: Trenton Peluso submitted some new logo ideas to KB8ELG. I'll
get those posted up to the website as soon as I receive them. We are trying to
overhaul club logo to something which will be better for print media and silk
screening for shirts and other apparel.

Other Business:

1. The club was asked to assist at a running event on September 7 at Evergreen
High School. The "Evergreen Trot for a Track" will start at 9:00am, but plan on
being present between 8:00am and 8:30am for assignments. We need about 6-8
people to properly man the course. We have a commit from 5 so far. We realize
this is the same day as the Findlay Hamfest, but if you have no plans on
attending, your help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Angela
Infante (K82AVN) if you can help with this event (mailto:lindsayinf at windstream.net)

2. We had a serious discussion on the clubs future involvement in the Fulton
County Fair. Arguments for and against were heard, and ultimately a motion was
made to discontinue the clubs involvement in the fair. A vote as taken and 10
to 5 voted in favor or the motion. We may revisit the idea again next year, but
for this year you will not see a club booth at the Fulton County Fair this year.

3. OSPOTA is coming up faster then you think. It will be September 6th at
Harrison Lake. We are going to try an reserve the North Shelter House this year
(the same location we had last year). Plan on a cookout/picnic the same day for
the club. If you have not been out to the Ohio State Parks on the Air contest,
it's like a mini field day, and is always a fun time. We typically run 2-3
rigs, so if you are interested in coming out, the radios and antennas will
already be accounted for, and you should not have a difficult time finding a rig
to call CQ on. We'll probably get the grill going around 2:00pm or so. Look
for more info in a follow up email.

Next Meeting: The next regular club meeting will be September 15th at the
County Administration Building second floor (same as the Drivers License
Bureau), 152 S. Fulton St, Wauseon. The club meeting will be at 7:30pm.
