[FCARC] Meeting notes for August 2012

Sorry folks, my work schedule has been keeping me a little busy these days.  A 
tad late, but here you go...

A summary of the FCARC meeting notes for August 20th, 2012:

The meeting was called to order at 7:35pm with 22 members and guests in 
attendance. Introductions were made and minutes from the previous meeting as 
well as the treasurer's report were read and accepted.

Committee reports follow:

Education: No testing session will be held at the end of August due to vacation 
schedules.  Bryan (KB8ELG) still has plans for a Technician Class on the last 
three Saturdays of September (15, 22, and 29) and hopes to pick a few more 
participants at the Fulton County Fair August 31-September 6th.

Repeater Committee:  The backup repeater is a loss following the May lighting 
hit.  We are waiting for a formal writeup of damage to submit to the insurance 
company.

Memorial Committee: No report.

Membership: We have 55 paid and lifetime members.  Thanks to all who continue to 
support our club, it helps with the costs of running the club and allowing us to 
maintain and upgrade our repeater.

T-Shirt Committee: No forward movement yet, it is still in the works.

Hamfest Committee: No news, next years Hamfest is back in Tedrow on June 1st.

Field Day Committee: No news, although the ARRL has posted a listing of all 
submitted scores.

New Business: After the scheduled tower maintenance, we were informed that the 
side arm mount for the primary repeater antenna should eventually be replaced. 
We have a very good price/quote for a commercial sidearm mount and are getting 
an estimate for services to replace it.  The tower maintenance crew tightened 
down the existing mount which should be good for a while.

Upcoming and Special Events:
Fulton County Fair Aug 31 - Sept 6.
Ohio Parks On the Air, Sept 8th. (we are planning on setting up at Harrison Lake 
State Park this year, the first time this park has been activated)

Next Meeting:  The next regular club meeting will be September 16th at the 
County Administration Building (same as the Drivers License Bureau), 152 S. 
Fulton St, Wauseon.  The club meeting will be at 7:30pm.

I think that about covers it, although I'm sure I missed something
...73 for now!
