The rigs and antennas are packed away for another year, and so ends Field Day
2012 . We had great weather for the duration of the contest, and despite 6 and
10 meters being less then optimal, we had pretty good results running as a 6A.
Thanks to everyone who helped with setup and tear down, and everyone who stopped
out to talk and observe. Despite some issues with antenna setup (lessons
learned for next year) we had a pretty good setup for a 6A + GOTA. Here are
some highlights from the logging we captured I'd like to share:

We ran a 6A class this year, along with a GOTA station
Total CW QSOs: 257
Total Digital QSOs: 136
Total Phone QSOs: 304 (55 GOTA)
Total: 697

With bonuses and power multipliers, we have a preliminary score of 3350, a
little down from last year, but the bands were not kind.

A breakdown by operators includes:

     17 KD8CEF
     65 KC8ZBC
    116 KB2AVN
     55 KD8JBS
     31 KC8UOM
     14 K8LI
    256 W8AN
     23 KB8ELG
     71 KD8KBU
     30 Doug Abramczyk
     19 AB8RC

We worked 46 states, 4 Canadian provinces, and 5 DX entities. We also logged
QSOs on 8 of the 12 available bands.

Let me know your thoughts on this Field Day and how you think we could improve
for Field Day 2013, assuming the world does not end in 2012... (kd8kbu at arrl.net

Last, if you have photos you would like to share, please pass them along to me
and I'll get them on the club website.
