THE FIRST DAY MORSE CODE NO LONGER REQUIRED

DUE TO THE END OF THE MORSE CODE REQUIREMENT, LAUREL VE IS ADDING AN 
ADMINISTRATIVE "PAPER ONLY" SESSION ON 24 FEBRUARY 2007, the first 
day after the Morse code requirement ends.

This special session at the Laurel Community Center, aka Laurel 
Swimming Pool, is for people who hold certificates for written 
Elements--and had not yet taken the code.  With no more Morse 
requirement, all you need is to bring your paperwork.

Therefore, if you "passed the written" and want to upgrade, bring a 
(1) photo ID, (2) original(s) of your amateur radio liciense(s) and 
relevant certificate(s), (3) photocopies of license and certificate.

The Laurel VE is adding extra staff for the expected rush.  The 
Laurel community center and swimming pool is located at 9th Street 
and Main Street, which is the west end of Main Street, Laurel, Md.

Processing from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon
