Autocall refunds will total approximately $725. It was accepted as
presented FAR FEST did not lost $500 as was reported last month. In 2005,
the Fairgrounds kept our $1,000 deposit. Though this is shown as a debit,
this is really of 2006 expense. This deposit will be available to us if we
cancel FAR FEST. We made a profit in 2005, $483.

Vice-President’s report - Vice President William Hatfield, W3QX, reported
on our Web site efforts. Ed Herbrechtsmeier, K3QX, is building the
replacement web page. Soon, we will have a new, simpler link to the web
page. It will be www.farweb.org <http://www.farweb.org>. The original
link, www.amateurradio-far.org <http://www.amateurradio-far.org>, is still
in use. The new web is still a work in progress.

William said the foundation needs directors and officers insurance. This
protects officers form personal suits. The expense for this would be from
$700 or $800.

William suggested we might have better attendance if we met at only one
location. Another suggestion was that the foundation meet every other month
or quarterly or only once a year.

F.A.R. Fest - The 2006 hamfest will be September 9 and 10 at Gaithersburg.

Survivor’s Assistance - Paul, KF4FOR, reported on what’s happening in
Virginia. He will coordinate with the Maryland’s representative - Robert
Finger, W9GE - to get the word out over the web about what the program does
and who to contact.
