Meeting of The Foundation for Amateur Radio, Inc.
September 14, 2005

The meeting was held at Lee Center, in Alexandria, Virginia. Mary Morris,
N4TCI,  called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm.

The August minutes were approved as corrected. The secretary was absent.

Treasurer, John Chitwood, K3RGB, gave the treasurer's report.  It was
accepted as presented.

Vice president's report - Vice President William Hatfield, W3QX, reported on
AutoCall.  We have had no response to our request for AutoCall editor.  The
winter issue will be the last issue.  Suspension of AutoCall letters will be
sent to subscribers.  There are 304 paying subscribers.  Old copies of
AutoCall will be stored as sold at Hamfests for the near future.  The
AutoCall banner needs to be replaced with a FAR Banner.  An annual report
will be sent  in 2006, replacing the scholarship report in AutoCall.  This
report will be more like a corporate report.  William is heading the team
the improve our Web site.

F.A.R. Fest -  Dan Blasberg, KA8YPY, reported on the F.A.R. Fest.
Attendance was down from last year.  We were short staffed.  But considering
the problems, the Fest was a success.  Next year's dates for F.A.R. Fest are
September 9 and 10, 2006 at Gaithersburg.

Old Business:  No progress yet on the By Laws rewrite.

Announcements:
	NCAC training is scheduled for October 22.

The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.

The location of the next FAR meeting will be the Prince George County Fire
Services Building, in the main auditorium.  The address is 6820 Webster St.
in Landover Hills, Maryland.
