FARFEST VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The following is list of items that we need volunteers for along with
the associated time requirement.

Vendor check in table in the Hilton Lobby:
Be present to hand out vendor and VIP welcome packets to hamfest
attendies.

Requirement:
2-6 volunteers starting at 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Friday September 10
2 volunteers starting at 4:00 AM - 9:00 AM Saturday September 11

Facility Set-up:
Move some tables around (no more than 10 total), set-up additional
trash barrels, help finish any details before the building opens at
5:00 PM for vendors to set-up.

Requirement:
4-6 Volunteers starting at 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday September 10

Gate Sales:
Sell general admission and tailgate tickets at the three (3) entrance
gates (Chestnut St. Main Entrance, Pin Oak Ave. Passthrough Entrance,
and Showcase Way Pedestrian Gate) to the hamfest.

Requirements:
4 volunteers (2 per gate) starting at 6:00PM Friday September 10 to 6:00
AM Saturday September 11 for a six(6) hour shift.  12:00 PM Saturday
September 11 to 6:00 AM Sunday September 12 for a six(6) hour shift.

Shifts are  6:00 PM - 12:00 AM Friday September 10
            12:00 AM -  6:00 AM Saturday September 11
            12:00 PM -  6:00 PM Saturday September 11
             6:00 PM - 12:00 AM Saturday September 11
            12:00 AM -  6:00 AM Sunday September 12

12 volunteers (4 per gate) starting at 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday
September 11 for a four(4) hour shift.  6:00 AM - 10:00 AM Sunday
September 12 for a four(4) hour shift.

Shifts are 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM Saturday September 11
            8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday September 11
            6:00 AM - 10:00 AM Sunday September 12
            8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sunday September 12

Clean-up:
Empty trash barrels and sweep out building Saturday and Sunday after the
hamfest closes. Help with general trash  and litter pick-up after the
hamfest on Sunday in preparation to return the facility back to the
Agricultural Center staff.

Requirements:
4-6 volunteers for Saturday to sweep out the building and help empty
trash cans into dumpsters after the hamfest closes on Saturday.
6-8 Volunteers for Sunday to sweep out the building, pick up loose
trash and litter and empty trash barrels into dumpsters and replace
them in storage. Break down those table that were placed on Friday.

Shifts are 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday September 11 (Could be shorter)
            3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Sunday September 12 (Could be shorter)

All Volunteers will be entitled to a free one day admission for either
Saturday or Sunday, Volunteer both days and get free admission both
days. A minimum of a four(4) hour commitment each day is required to
obtain free admission ticket(s).

If you are interested, please contact Dan Blasberg, KA8YPY at
KA8YPY at arrl.net with your work preference and time preference. Clubs
who provide a group of four(4) or more volunteers get preference over
individuals.
