Fredfest '17 is less than three weeks away, and we need to line up volunteers to help with the necessary duties. Brian Rozelle is taking charge of the license testing, but here are the duties and times we need volunteers:


* Signage - Jeff KB3FIO
* Table Sales - 0630-1030 - We need 2-3 workers to sell tables @ $10 ea. Put their name or call sign on the back of each table ticket so that they can hold the tables they choose by placing a ticket on each table. Let the tailgaters know that they can also use the side door near the kitchen. No charge for the ARRL table.
* Table Arrangement? - 0630 - We need 4-6 workers to arrange the tables for the tailgaters beginning at 0700. I'll send out the setup that works best.
* Bouncers/Raffle Sales - These folks are to make sure no general admission folks get through the doors until 0800 so that the tailgaters can set up in peace starting at 0700. Then they can help sell raffle tickets at the door and  on the floor (1 for $1, 3 for $2, 10 for $5). Every attendee gets one ticket free. Have them put their name and contact info on the back as they don't have to be present to win. Drawings held every half hour 0830-1100.
* Someone to set up and man the club tailgate tables starting at 0700.

We should have coffee and doughnut sales beginning approx. 0730, and we need to be cleared out by 1230 so that the bingo folks can set up. If you only have a few personal items to sell, club members can use the club tables. Make sure you mark the items with your name and stay close by for negotiations.

Subject: [FARC] Bullis Summer Camp in Potomac Maryland.

I volunteered to teach electronics and basic electricity to young campers for 4 weeks this summer. Actually, it's two 2-week sessions for a couple of hours each day.

Unfortunately, I need a spinal fusion operation which prevents me from working with the kids this summer so I am looking for a replacement(s).

If you have an interest in learning more how you can help by either doing this solo or with others, please let me know. Feel free to pass this opportunity along to your friends, college students, and relatives. 

As part of the fun, I was planning to introduce ham radio as well kit building and experiments.
