Since I have been announcing activity aboard the International Space Station.
NASA has discontinued ISS updates that were shown on NASA TV but they will
have broadcasts of launches, space walks, landings andbriefings before and
after all launches and landings.

I will try to have some reports from Space to Ground during the ARES Net
when anything new comes up.

To be updated on any activity current and future activity they have
suggested to log into Youtube, Facebook and twittter.

I got that 8W 2M/440 HT for my birthday Friday and it's extremely complicated to program, took me 2 hours to get the 147.300 machine to work and that doesn't even have a PL.

Do you or anyone else you know have a saved CHIRP (the software it uses for programing from a computer) database saved with the local repeaters and such in it? That way I can just upload an already setup datanase over to the HT instead of navigating 25 menus.

Otherwise, perhaps if you could send this our to the FARC group mailing address, I don't have it on hand. It's a Baofeng BF-F8HP.

I have a chirp file I can send that has all of the local repeaters.  It has
a lot more in there too like GMRS, etc.  But that can be easily deleted.  I
can send that if you want.

With iOS 10 your iPhone also works as a magnifying glass. Perfect to read those tiny colors and numbers on components and PCB?s.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Magnifier

Simply press Home Button 3 times to activate.

Want to use it as a Macro lens camera? Just press the virtual round button to freeze the frame (not the home button) and do a screenshot(PWR+HOME).

Solves a big problem for me. Now, all I have to do is REMEMBER to use it.
