If you think ham radio has an age problem, keep reading.
I have quite of few, but I could use more electronic projects for the electronics studio at the KID Museum.
Please suggest a project and email me the schematic. It does not have to be Ham Radio related, but I do have some requirements.
Power supply, ideally 9vdc or less, but will accept 12 volts.
Must fit on a bread board with .1" spacing, 2"x3".
No more than 10-15 components on the board itself, not counting items such as speaker, headphones, morse code key, etc.
The kids will build their projects over one or two sessions and take them home to keep.
We already have in the works:
Crystal Radio
Code practice oscillator with NE555 timer chip
Field Strength meter
Audio amplifier
Logic gate examples
Intercom
Wireless charging pad
Touch me not game
Cypher Locks
Continuity tester
Fruit Battery
And if you "think" you might like to work directly with the kids or operate the club station, KM3KID, please let me know. The KID Museum is near Montgomery Mall. Your XYL or YL can shop while you're helping out and then you can see a movie or have dinner in the mall. Better yet, enroll your child/grandchild in a KM session.
