[FARC] FARC Field Day Ops Needed!

CALLING ALL HAMS!

 

As you know, Frederick Amateur Radio Club is doing Field Day at the Walmart
on Rt. 85, and we REALLY need more operators to sign up! We'll have two HF
stations, digital, CW, and a GOTA station, and these radios don't make
contacts by themselves. The fun starts at 1400 on Saturday, continues
overnight and ends Sunday afternoon. If you can, please sign up with Mike
Myers, netnutmike at gmail.com , for an hour or two, and we especially need
sign-ups for the overnight shifts. And if you don't want to operate, you can
help us with logging (there's nothing worse than contacting a "dupe").

 

Thanks to the success of this year's Fredfest, we'll be having a cookout
starting at about 1700 on Saturday, with burgers, dogs, munchies and cold
drinks for everyone. And don't forget, the Sonic next door has half price
shakes after 8 PM! If you can't commit now, just give us a call on the FARC
146.640 repeater to tell us you're coming, or just stop by when you can.

 

You don't have to be a member of FARC or any other ham group to participate,
just someone who wants to have some fun and share in the fellowship our
hobby has to offer.
