[FARC] Three weeks to Fredfest!

                Just three weeks to our second Fredfest. Just wanted to give
everyone a status update:

 

.         Venue - Everything is set for the use of the Social Hall at
Independent Hose (where we normally meet) from 0630-1200 on Sat., 3/19.
Tables will already be set up from the night before by St. Thomas More
Academy's bingo games. However, we may have to stack and redeploy the chairs
they use, so we need 4-6 helpers at 0630 and 1230 to help with this.

 

.         Tailgating - Tailgaters can begin purchasing their tables at 0630
and start setting up at 0700. The club treasurer should give each tailgater
a receipt for however many tables they purchase. We'll be selling them for
$20 for 2 tables, and $5 for each additional table. If a FARC member has an
item or two to sell, he can use the club table. But if he has more, he
should purchase his own table(s). Two or more members can always go in
together on table purchase.

.         Food Vendor - The folks with St. Thomas More Academy have agreed
to man their bingo food table and provide coffee and other drinks,
donuts/bagels in the AM and then hot dogs around lunch. What they sell will
benefit their charities.

 

.         Door Prizes - We will be selling chances ($1 for 1, $2 for 3, $5
for 10) for ARRL gift certificates and other prizes. All volunteers will
receive 3 chances. Drawings will be every hour.

 

.         VE Testing - Fearless Leader Brian is in charge of this and may
need helpers.

 

.         Signage - I'll put out street signs Friday night. 

 

.         Talk in - We'll need someone to have a rig with 146.580 simplex
monitored.

 

 

As this is by far our biggest event of the year (and our primary money
maker) for FARC, we need lots of help before, during, and after to help with
these duties. Please let me know your availability ASAP. Thanks.

P.S. - At our previous Hamfests, we had volunteer badges. Does anyone know
