[FARC] Gran Fondo Assignments & Call for Sweep

Please see the attached for your assignments for Sunday, the 20th, and we
still need an additional ham to drive their vehicle as a late sweep. We'll
be using the FARG 146.730 -  (PL 141.3) repeater again this year. If the
trees attenuate your signal, just moving a few feet in either direction can
make a big difference. Plan on using tactical call signs (Net Control, Time
1, Time 2, etc.). This will be a directed net and all calls should go
through Net Control. Other stations may use the frequency for QSOs as long
as they keep it brief.

 

Your job is to assist by relaying race status information and calling for
assistance if needed. You should arrive at your assigned location 15 mins.
before your shift, and introduce yourself to the person in charge and
letting them know why you're there. Look for a narrow electronic timing
strip taped across the road - your contact should be right there.  If you
have a florescent safety vest, please wear it while on duty. If you have a
cell phone, please have it with you and provide me with the number.
