One of the perks of annual ARRL membership, is that they offer a free book
as an incentive for you to renew. If you wait until about the last month
before your membership renewal date, they send you a reminder letter that
contains a slip giving you a choice of four ARRL books, and two of these
books are the Technician and General Q & A Guides that contain the complete
question pools that are on the tests.

 

If you want to upgrade your license, please get one of these and study to
take the test. Otherwise, I encourage you to take advantage of this offer
and get the Technician book to give to someone who has always thought about
becoming a ham, but thought passing the test was "too difficult". Or just
donate it to your club, school or public library.

 

As the amateur population ages, it's our duty to keep the hobby alive and
well in the computer age, and doing this is about as easy as it gets.
