Subject: [FARC] What's a good HT?

I am gathering information on dual band HTs for amateur ops and the County
Health Dept. At our last drill with the Health Dept., we discovered that the
cafeteria at Linganore HS (the operations center) was an RF hole and we had
a difficult time hitting the 06 repeater. We also see the need for an HT for
portable use to relay with the Yaesu 8900 in their go kit.

So what I'm looking for is a 2M/440 5W HT that does cross band repeat, is
easy to use and program, and doesn't cost a fortune.

What would you recommend?
