Hi Everyone, 
  
We’ve only had a small number of actual RSVPs so far but a lot of expressed interest.  To help our planning, please let me know how many people you expect to have participating from your team/jurisdiction by COB this Friday, May 3. 
  
If the numbers remain low, we’ll probably change the format to a single, larger incident and cut it down to a half-day exercise rather than a friendly competition.

Dear Maryland CERT, 
  
The Baltimore City Citizen Corps Council and the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management are pleased to announce our second annual CERT Olympics taking place on Sunday, May 19th from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Baltimore City Fire Academy, 6720 Pulaski Highway.  CERT members can enter as individuals or as teams of 8 or more participants to compete in the following events: 
  
Triage Tabletop 
Medical Treatment and Transport 
Indoor Search and Rescue 
Fire Suppression 
Scene Sizeup and Outdoor Search 
Incident Command 
  
New for this year is an invitation to other VOADs to conduct a little show and tell over lunch (which will be provided), and an invitation for the VOAD members to have limited participation in some of the events as spontaneous volunteers, which CERT teams will have to manage.  A full lineup of VOADS participating will be shared soon. 
  
Registration will begin at 8:30, and the events will start promptly at 9:00 AM.  The CERT Olympics will take place rain or shine.  While CERT members are reminded to bring their basic CERT kits, medical equipment and documentation forms will be provided.
