We still need a few more operators for the MS Bike to Bordeaux event on Sept. 29th. The organizers have requested that all of the seven rest stops be covered and that hams are to only be in three MS SAG vehicles (no personal vehicles). We will be using the W3ICF 146.730- (141.3) repeater as primary, 146.580 simplex as secondary, and the 147.060+ (123.0) as backup repeater. All of the rest stops are in good locations and a 5W HT should work, but plan on working from your vehicle with a mobile unit. Here are the locations and operating times of the rest stops:

a.. Walkersville Heritage Farm Park 0730-1000
b.. Grables Commercial Painting, Keymar 0815-1030
  c.. Taneytown Elem. School 0900-1130 covered (W3FJD)
d.. New Windsor Middle School 0930-1230
  e.. Taylorsville UMC 0930-1330
f.. St. Peter the Apostle Ch., Libertytown 0815-1000
g.. Union Bridge Comm. Cntr. 0845-1130
Again, the start and finish point is the Linganore Winery, and lunch will be provided at that location. The Taneytown Elem. School is taken but the other locations are available. We would prefer 2 operators at each stop, but we can get by with 1 if necessary. So far, signed up are:
KB3WHX
N3TCR
K3RTW
KE3FL
AB3KS
KB3WRT
WB3CFJ

If you're interested in participating, please email me with your name, amateur call, email address, phone number(s), duty location preferred, and T shirt size. ARES membership is not required. If you want to ride in a SAG, a 2M rig with cigarette lighter plug and mag mount antenna are needed and APRS is preferred. No APRS needed at the rest stops. Thanks.
