Frederick Amateur Radio Club (FARC) “Approved” Minutes for June 18, 2012

Meeting: The club meeting was called to order at 7:23pm by President Jim 
Ridgley - N3HTA

Introductions: See Attendees

Last Months Minutes: Approved as read.

New Licenses: None

Upgrades: None

Treasurer Report: There is $15,677.74 in the checking account.

New Member Application(s): None

Old or Ongoing Business: The officers are still working out details as 
to how to get old club records.

- Field Day

Field day is approaching fast and volunteers are still welcome to sign 
up. Jeff Fishman - KB3FIO said several pieces of equipment from the club 
station equipment will be used at the Frederick Memorial Hospital upper 
levels of the parking garage. Curtis Campbell - KB3WHX will bring a 
router to set up a network for laptops entering contacts information 
from various frequencies. The “talk-in frequency” will be 146.58 MHz. 
Jeff also will contact the Frederick News-Post about this years Field 
Day activities of FARC.

- Constitution and Bylaws

Minor wording is still being worked on regarding the portion referring 
to the “Interference Committee”.

New Business: There was no new business.

Committee Reports:

- ARES

Changes in the Assistant Emergency Coordinators (AEC’s) are going to be 
made, Bill Rhinehardt - N3TCR will be replacing Eric Gammeter - N8AAY. 
Joe Durnal - NE3R will be removed from the list. There are no scheduled 
activities coming up.

- RACES

RACES will resume the monthly drills in September and has no scheduled 
activities for the Summer.

- SKYWARN

Jim Ridgley - N3HTA has nothing to report on Skywarn. Jeff Fishman - 
KB3FIO did bring up the net for Frederick County during a recent storm 
activity on the repeater 147.060 MHz.


- Club Station Status

Jeff Fishman - KB3FIO has contacted Bill Horine - KA3HJC regarding the 
status of the club station and Bill will talk to the president on the 
Fire House as to what can be done to get the station back into a useable 
state.
