[FARC] Upcoming IMPORTANT FARC Meeting

All:  I forgot to email the "list" a reminder of the FARC  meeting this 
coming Monday evening at 7PM at the Independent Fire Station on  Baughman's 
Lane in Frederick.  All members please make every attempt to  attend this very 
important meeting.  We will be having our elections and  will have to 
re-elect the President, Vice-President, and Secretary (as set forth  in the 
nominating function at the last meeting; and we will be electing a new  Treasurer 
as Joe has decided to step down.  We also need, according to the  current 
by-laws, a quorum of 10 members in good standing.  That means  paid-up dues 
for this year.  The annual dues are $15.  As our  Treasurer, Joe, has the list 
of paid-up members, he has advised me he plans to  attend.  Joe told me he 
has had some rather extreme work situations that  had him out of town or 
unable to leave his office in time to make our  meetings.
 
ALSO  Jeff and others have completed an up-date of our  constitution and 
by-laws that will be presented for membership review.   Jeff also has some 
concerns and ideas about our 440 repeater.  The machine  was checked out a few 
weeks ago and is working per specifications.  Ideas  are being asked as to 
ways to have more hams use this repeater.  Jeff  will give some ideas.
 
For any non-members of FARC, please attend our meeting.   We would very 
much like to have you... perhaps you are a past-member and have  not been 
active and have not kept up on the dues.  Perhaps you get a copy  of this 
reflector and have been curious about the FARC.... please stop by and  visit with

FARC.  Many of us will be happy to  help you get your ham ticket (license).
