[FARC] Ops needed for CF Ride on 10/8!

Frederick ARES will be providing communications support for the Cystic 
Fibrosis Cycle for Life bike event on Oct. 8th at Utica Park from 0800-1400. 
There will be a 30 mile and a 65 mile route and we will need operators with 
2M radios at Utica Park and in 5 vehicles and at 3 rest stops. We also plan 
to utilize APRS for tracking.

The CF people will be using their own vehicles and you should plan on using 
your own 2M mobile rig with cigarette lighter power cable and mag mount 
antenna. If stationed at a rest stop, you can probably use an HT with a gain 
antenna or your vehicle rig. We will try to use as many APRS rigs in the 
SAG/Sweep vehicles as we can.

ARES membership in not needed for this activity and all hams are welcome. If 
you're available on Oct. 8th, please email me and let me know what equipment 
capabilities you can offer. A few loaner rigs may be available if you don't 
have any radios. Thanks.
