Subject:  A Reminder about Tomorrow's Emergency Alert System (EAS) 
Nationwide  Test

_Emergency Alert System (EAS) Nationwide  Test - November 9_

Tomorrow, November 9,  2011, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the Federal 
Communications Commission and  _FEMA_ (http://www.fema.gov/eastest/faqs.shtm)  will 
conduct the  first-ever nationwide test of the _Emergency  Alert System_ 
(http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/emergency-alert-system-nationwide-test)  
(EAS). An announcement will come on every TV and radio channel  indicating that 
there is an emergency. This will only be a test and you do  not need to take 
any action. The purpose of this 30-second test is to  evaluate the 
reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a way to alert the  public of national 
emergencies.
